This is one film I’d never watched but having seen it now, it’s shot straight to the top of my favourite Wim Wenders movies.

I remember seeing this film on TV when I was a teenager and being intrigued by the title which was then translated as “The Goalkeeper’s Fear of the Penalty”

The best film of the year by a vertical mile. Monos is a stunning movie that works on so many levels at once and stays with you, in your head, for days afterwards.
